I was trying to setup a new user following your instructions above. I’m able to add the user but wheb the user is added the directory from another user appears first and I’m unable to remove this existing directory from the new user.

Well, how I’m going to put encryption? Opening port 21 is a risky thing if you don’t have any security like Bullet-proof or something like that. Any ideas?

If you have a router or firewall you will need to forward the port 21 which is FTP, simple as that. If you have any questions on how to do that let me know.

How do I make remote connections? So far, I can connect via local network, but when I asked a friend to login from his home, nothing happeen.

I think vsftpd is a greater challenge, and therefore more fun.
